Refund Policy

We want you to be completely satisfied with Lapsite. All subscriptions include a mandatory 14-day free trial; you cannot start a paid subscription without completing the trial. After the trial ends your first paid charge will be taken — you then have 14 days from that charge to request a full refund (trial users therefore have up to 28 days from trial start to evaluate).

At Lapsite, we stand behind our product and want you to be completely satisfied. This Refund Policy explains when you can receive a refund, how to request one, and what to expect during the refund process.

Simple Promise: If you're not satisfied within 14 days of your first paid subscription, we'll refund you. No questions asked.

Payments and receipts are processed by Lemon Squeezy (our Merchant of Record). Refunds are issued by Lemon Squeezy on behalf of the merchant; we will request the refund and Lemon Squeezy will process it to the original payment method. If you were charged through Lemon Squeezy, please include your Lemon Squeezy Order ID or Subscription ID in your refund request — you can find this on your Lemon Squeezy receipt email or in the Lemon Squeezy Customer Portal under “Receipts”.

For First-Time Subscribers

If you purchase a Pro or Max plan for the first time and decide it's not right for you, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your initial payment. This applies to your very first paid subscription charge only.

  • Gallery add-on purchased with your first subscription

How It Works

  1. All plans require a 14-day free trial; you are not charged during the trial.
  2. At the end of the trial, your first paid charge is taken — this is your first subscription payment.
  3. You have 14 days from the date of that first paid charge to request a full refund.
  4. In short: because all plans include the mandatory trial, you may evaluate the service for up to 28 days from trial start (trial + 14 days after first paid charge).

Example: You start a Pro plan trial on January 1st. Trial ends January 15th, and you're charged £9. You have until January 29th to request a full refund if you're not satisfied.

Free Trials

All Pro and Max plans include a 14-day free trial. During the trial period:

  • No charges: You will not be charged during the trial
  • Cancel anytime: Cancel before trial ends to avoid being charged
  • Full access: Access all plan features during trial
  • One trial per account: Only one trial per user account allowed

Note: If you cancel during the free trial, you will not be charged anything, so no refund is necessary.

Refund Eligibility

Eligible for Refund

  • First subscription payment within 14 days
  • Gallery add-on purchased with first subscription (within 14 days)
  • Technical issues preventing service use (we'll try to resolve first)
  • Billing errors or duplicate charges (refunded immediately)

Not Eligible for Refund

  • Renewal payments (2nd month onwards)
  • Partial month usage
  • Downgrades (no prorated refunds between plans)
  • Change of mind after 14-day refund window
  • Free trial cancellations (no charge = no refund needed)

Important: Refunds are only available for your first paid subscription. Renewal payments are not eligible for refunds. Cancel before your renewal date if you don't wish to continue.

How to Request a Refund

Step-by-Step Process

  1. Email us: Send an email to billing@lapsite.com
  2. Subject line: Use "Refund Request - [Your Email]"
  3. Include:
    • Account email address
    • Username
    • Plan purchased (Pro or Max)
    • Date of first charge
    • Lemon Squeezy Order ID / Subscription ID (found on your receipt)
    • Last 4 digits of the payment method (helps us locate the transaction)
    • Brief reason (optional but helpful for us to improve)
  4. Receive confirmation: We'll confirm receipt within 24 hours
  5. Refund processed: Money returned within 5-10 business days

Processing Time

Timeline

  • Request acknowledgment: Within 24 hours (business days)
  • Review & approval: 1-2 business days
  • Refund initiated: Immediately upon approval
  • Money in your account: 5-10 business days (depending on your bank/card provider)

Note: The refund will appear on the same payment method you used for the original purchase. If that payment method is no longer valid, please let us know in your refund request.

How refunds are processed: We initiate refunds via Lemon Squeezy (our Merchant of Record). Lemon Squeezy will process the refund to your original payment method — depending on your bank or card issuer this can take longer than 5–10 business days in some regions.

Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Renewal payments: Any subscription charges after your first month
  • Add-ons purchased separately: Gallery add-ons bought after initial subscription

Chargebacks: If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact billing@lapsite.com first so we can investigate and resolve the issue. Initiating a chargeback with your bank may delay resolution and could lead to temporary access restrictions while we investigate.

Cancellations & Future Billing

How to Cancel Your Subscription

  1. Log in to your Lapsite account
  2. Go to Profile → Billing
  3. Click "Cancel Subscription"
  4. Confirm cancellation

What Happens When You Cancel

  • Immediate effect: Future billing stops immediately
  • Access retained: You keep access to paid features until end of current billing period
  • No prorated refunds: You will not receive a refund for unused time in current period
  • Data preserved: Your content remains intact and accessible (with Free plan features)

Example: You're on a Max plan, billed monthly on the 15th. You cancel on the 20th. You'll retain Max features until the next billing date (15th of next month), then automatically revert to Free plan. No refund for the days between 20th and 15th.
